Leon Hines

Years ago, Leon made a decision that changed his life. Leon dropped out of school and left home.Hanging in the streets with his friends everyday led him to being incarcerated before his 16th birthday. Leon went on to do 7 and half years behind bars. In 1999, at the age of 23, he was released from prison on parole.

Leon enrolled into Durham Tech in attempts to complete his GED.But he would drop out of school  again.He pursued job opportunities to provide for himself. Leon worked odd and end jobs until he eventually enrolled into barber school. In 2003, he completed barber school at Harris Barber College in Raleigh,Nc. 

Leon went on to open two barber shops. While being a barber, Leon has spoken at events touching the lives of others with his story and transformation.He started the Impel Forward movement in hopes of inspiring others to achieve their goals,dreams, and aspirations. To never give up, no matter the obstacles they face in life.
